As Development Engineer FPGA and Embedded Systems you will take over the responsibility for the further development of our existing product portfolio in the area of firmware (FPGA and Linux applications) after an intensive training. In doing so, you will actively shape the company-wide system and architecture strategy and thus make a significant contribution to our success. You will work with us in an international team of physicists, engineers and application specialists on state-of-the-art high-tech products and solutions in a customer market that is as exciting as it is unusual.
Development Engineer (m/w/d) FPGA and Embedded Systems
Your Responsibilities and Duties
- You are involved in the continuous development of the existing product portfolio by introducing new concepts, ideas and technologies
- You are responsible for the design, conception and implementation of complex functions in the FPGA to extend and improve the signal processing in our products
- You contribute to the design of a unified architecture and system strategy for our products
- You take over tasks of simulation, verification and validation of the FPGA design on module-, top-level and system level
- You create and maintain the documentation of the FPGA firmware.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- You have a degree in electrical engineering or information technology (or a comparable qualification)
- You have relevant experience in developing digital signal processing applications with VHDL/Verilog on FPGAs (ideally Xilinx Zynq SoCs)
- You have experience with modern scripting languages like Python or LUA
- You are familiar with version management via Git and have knowledge of continuous integration and automated testing
- You are able to work in a team and to communicate in German and English and you bring along initiative and future-oriented thinking
