Your Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsibility for financial statements and audits: You will be responsible for preparing monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and for accompanying audits such as annual financial statements, tax and social security audits. You will also be the point of contact for auditors and accountants.
• Data preparation and reporting: You will prepare data for internal reporting and carry out reporting to our German parent company.
• Tax and statistical returns: You will be responsible for the monthly advance return for tax on sales/purchases, the recapitulative statement and all relevant statistical reports.
• Support in day-to-day business: In the operational business, you will provide support in asset, creditor and debtor accounting, as well as in travel expense accounting and dunning.
• Projects for process optimization and IT development: You will be responsible for projects to improve our processes and develop our IT systems.
• Teamwork & communication skills: You work closely with colleagues from different departments and ensure that all relevant information and processes are communicated clearly and efficiently.
• Stakeholder management: You are in regular contact with internal and external stakeholders and ensure that requirements and requests are processed smoothly.

Your Skills and Qualifications

• Education and qualifications: You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship, ideally supplemented by further training as an accountant. Alternatively, you have a degree in economics or a comparable qualification.
• Professional experience: You have 3-5 years of professional experience in financial accounting, with experience in reconciling intercompany matters being desirable.
• Optimization skills: You have a flair for identifying optimization potential and are not afraid to recognize and actively seize it, particularly with regard to the software applications used.
• Software skills: You have very good user knowledge of a financial accounting software and are proficient in the MS Office programs.
• Language skills: You have a very good command of the German language and a good knowledge of English, enabling you to communicate effectively in an international environment.
• Sense of responsibility and independence: You work responsibly and independently, which enables you to make well-founded decisions even in challenging situations.
